Inspired Runner was born from a simple but powerful realization: the most meaningful part of
running is not the miles, it is the connection. We love running, but we cherish what it
connects us to even more. Connection to ourselves. Connection to others. Connection to nature,
culture, and community. And for many of us, connection to a higher power.
Every product is designed to do more than perform. It is made to speak to runners who are
going for it all, reminding them that running is more than a physical act. It can open up

Our Story
Built through movement, faith, and family.
For a long time, I hated running, especially long-distance running. In high school, it felt
like punishment. My basketball coach made cross country a requirement during the off-season,
and what felt like a burden at the time quietly planted the seed for a journey that would
change my life.
After college, I spent more than fifteen years in education, serving students and families
while coaching athletics. During my first year as a head cross-country coach, I built a
meaningful relationship with one of my athletes, Bryce McAndrew. Watching his growth as a
runner and a person reminded me that running creates connections that can last far beyond the
finish line.
Over time, I started chasing longer distances and bigger goals. In 2015, I crossed the finish
line of the Chicago Marathon, and that single moment changed everything. One marathon became
another, and eventually a new dream took shape: to run a marathon in every state.
What I did not expect was how deeply that dream would shape my family. My wife, Joy, became
the backbone of unwavering support. Our boys, Austin and Grayson, caught the runner's gene and
now share in the joy of movement and competition. The bond we have built through training,
travel, and shared experiences has been immeasurable.
Through running, I have experienced physical health, mental clarity, emotional stability,
spiritual awareness, and deeper relationships. Some of the clearest moments I have ever had
with God have come while running, when distractions fade and truth becomes undeniable.
